718 Spyder roof fasteners

The rear fasteners on my 718 Spyder roof are very stiff.
Hard to release and refit.
I am reluctant to apply any lubricant.
Anyone come across this, if so how to fix?

Are you attempting to release/refit whilst the the rear lid is fully closed and the front of the roof is still "locked" ?
Mine are very difficult to release/refit unless the rear lid button release has been pressed (so lid has popped up 1 cm or so). And I always refit them before using the "roof close" button.
The additional roof tensioning does make them difficult otherwise.

Alternatively perhaps a small amount of WD40 PTFE spray might help.

Thank you, much appreciated. Releasing the tension with the rear lid related made a big difference.

WD40 PTFE not needed.

The recommended method I was shown at delivery was to do everything up and lastly close the bootlid. Also you probably already know but you can pop the boot and release the windscreen lock from outside the car by a 2nd long press on the unlock button on your key. Apart from the fact you have to stop I don't find the roof a great difficulty as suggested in some reports.
