As a new member just want to say hello to you all out there. As a 928 owner(Greenock/Lochearnhead) I' m having real problems finding someone to whom I can trust doing any mechanical work. Glenvarigill- bearsden (lovely people-don' t get me wrong!) don' t kno w the front end from the back end and so I' m forced to track down someone else. Can anyone help as I have just had the gearbox reconditioned but really need the head gasket done and a few other little jobs. Otherwise the car is in great shape, and I would love to keep it that way! Oh and is there anyone going to Callander this weekend as I am thinking of going along ?rd

Welcome to the club Falco.
Regarding mechanics, I have used Peter Lorimar at Lorimar and Findlay in Glasgow. He runs a 928 so should know a bit about them. Nice guy and knows his stuff - 0141 950 6688. Others on this forum swear by Gearge Morrison, also in Glasgow. Don' t know his number off the top but it' s in the book.
Regarding Callander, I will probably have a run out on Sunday and I do know the Club will be there officially so you should meet other members.
Cheers

Hi Falco, and werlcome also. There is a few of us going up to Callender on Sunday so will look out for you. Any pictures of your car?

What time are you guys heading up there on sunday, and have you booked tickets or are you just turning up on spec??

I thought you could only get a ticket if you were part of the display. I was planning to be be there at some point in the day and park the porker in the car park.

Try George at Morrison Motors ( Rutherglen) 0141 643 1768.
He is very knowledgable but all 928 are pricey to look after ( you knew that though)
Mike

I' m missing Callander this year. Flying out to New York on saturday. Missing the football too though.[]
