PORSCHE 944 S2 WITH PRIVATE '944' NUMBER PLATE - ORIGINALLY 'J' REGISTRATION. THIS IS ONE OF THE LAST BUILT WITH THE REAR BRIDGE SPOILER AND CLOTH LUGGAGE COVER. SUPPLIED WITH THE LOVELY 'BOXTER' ALLOYS. STAINLESS-STEEL EXHAUST FITTED.
NOTE THAT EVERYTHING WORKS ON THIS CAR - MANY HAVE ELECTRICAL FAULTS! EVEN THE CLOCK WORKS (SEE IF YOU CAN FIND ONE WITH A WORKING CLOCK!), AND THE CENTRE ARM-REST HAS A WORKING HINGE. AND THE GLOVE-BOX HAS IT'S STAYS! DASH HAS NO CRACKS.
LEATHER INTERIOR IN GOOD CONDITION, PORSCHE FLOOR MATS FRONT AND REAR, JVC CD/MP3/DVD PLAYER (WITH MINI SCREEN!) AND REMOTE CONTROL.
FRONT AND REAR TYRES ARE VERY RECENT, SO LOADS OF LIFE LEFT...
AT 160K THE TIMING BELTS WITH THE IMPORTANT CAM CHAIN WERE REPLACED, WITH FRONT AND REAR BRAKES DISKS (VENTED REARS), FRONT AND REAR PADS, AND REAR SHOES. I HAVE MISPLACED THE RECEIPT FOR THIS WORK - BUT IT COST A LOT!!
LOADS OF PAPERWORK TO ACCOMPANY THIS CAR, WITH ORIGINAL OWNERS HANDBOOK (RARE IN ITSELF!), IN ORIGINAL PORSCHE WALLET.
THE ONLY DOWNSIDE TO THIS CAR IS A FEW STONE-CHIPS, MAINLY ON THE DRIVER'S DOOR AND A COUPLE OF RUST PATCHES (WHICH ARE QUITE COMMON ON THE 944) TO THE REAR OF THE DOORS. OH, AND A SET OF LOCKING WHEEL-NUTS ARE NEEDED!
I WAS A PREVIOUS OWNER OF A TATTY 944 AND LOVED IT, AND WANTED A REALLY NICE ONE. I BOUGHT THIS BECAUSE IT HAS SO MUCH POTENTIAL, A FEW QUID SORTING THE MINOR PAINTWORK POINTS AND A PROFESSIONAL POLISH-UP AND THIS WILL BE A STAGGERING CAR. SADLY FOR ME I REALLY NEED A BIGGER CAR - AS THE KIDS ARE GETTING GROWING-UP, SO IT'S GOT TO GO...
