992 C2S 2022 Front Brakes

My car has a done 16K. Recently I’ve been getting a lot of juddering from the front brakes. Fortunately no pulling to one side and no locking up. I stop when I expect to and the odd heavy braking does the same. Overall performance does not seem to have been affected but that juddering is really annoying.
My local OPC has looked at it and has identified the problem as both front discs being “lipped and slightly grooved”. The pads are at 7.5mm each which is deemed to be “as expected” for age and mileage and there are no signs of them being chewed up.
It appears that the only way to stop the juddering is to replace the discs (and pads) at a quoted price of £1,855.

Has anyone else experienced this issue and how did you resolve it, if at all?
Is this a known issue?
The car is hardly “broken in“ at 16k. An issue like this seems very premature.
The car has never been tracked.
Local OPC says that brake performance is not being affected but it makes me a bit nervous especially if or when I have to brake heavily.

Hi,

Provided there’s still sufficient disc thickness you could consider getting them resurfaced, which will be significantly cheaper than replacements.

If you look online, probably there’s somewhere in your locality which can offer this service.

Difficult to say without asking your dealer, but the warranty doesn’t cover pads and discs anyway, so probably you’ve nothing to lose provided the discs remain well within spec for thickness?

Just my take on it, but your choice of course.
