Well ive stuck mine on ebay again. Thought i would give it one more go on there and see if the sunny weather entices anyone to come and have a look.
If not then i suppose i will keep it.

They are supposed to be very similar, but I have always preferred the hard-core image of the Cayman.

I wonder whether they will ever release a soft-top version of it? A soft-top Cayman would be an ideal car, I'd have thought. All the hard-core track-day fun, with some wind in the hair as well. Sounds ideal ... anyone know of any plans?

Oli,.

Are you being ironic?

I gave a Boxter S a bit of a thrashing for the first time the other day (in the confined space I had to work with meaning I couldn't get out of second) but fantastically responsive and felt surprisingly nippy, good roar too. My favourite car by a country mile in the TT, 350z, Rx8, Mx5, S2000 group. Felt like a sports car for driving not a posers car for impressing the guys and girls at work.

p.s. cars listed in order of preference so S2000 comes last in that group by my vote, if you were interested.

TT (dull, safe, superb car)
350z (fun, nice sounding, terrible car)
Rx8 (lovely design inside and out, great chassis, has the most underpowered, uneconomical, unreliable, tempremental engine ever)
Mx 5 (great fun, girls car, where's the power!)
S2000 (great gearbox, nice interior colour schemes, terrible chassis flex means it feels unstable at speed, worse under heavy braking, has no torque at all and has to be kept at an uneconomical 9000rpm to make and progress faster than your average 1.9tdi saloon)

But even if you were beign serious..... they did...... the Boxster Spyder....jeez that is one amazing looking Porka [:D]

And with an 80's decal!!

We may jest... but how far removed is it from what Porsche did with the 968? Build a car... strip it out and charge a premium for a lightweight... then charge a further premium for a lightweight with all the trim put back in...hmmm...

Er, Porsche priced the 968CS cheaper than the standard coupe. Charging a premium for less stuff came on later models.
