Off next Thursday will keep you updated with our progress.

Wowzers. (Sorry, that's my current favourite word.) I like .... alot! [:)]

How much did you spend on that after purchase? Those alloys must have cost a bit ...

And the rally? From where to where?

Best of luck. You'll have a ball. (Or ought to.) Who is the co-pilot?

Oli.

Spent around £700-800 on parts and labour, sold some bits like the old seats and wheels to claw some money back.
Wheels cost £200 with tyres but they where off a Cayenne so sold the tyres for £80 and the old alloys for around £50.
Seats I got for £100 and one of the lads picked them up for a few beers and sold the old ones £50.
Biggest expense was welding and labour £350 and the car £450.
Route is Start Calais to Zurich to Brescia to Ferrara to Rome and back to Brescia then home.
Mille Miglia route is 1000 miles around Italy the part from Brescia onwards.
Website is http://scallyrally.co.uk/mille_miglia_43_43.html Homesea is going to off the forum too.
Co-pilot this year is the wife I know glutton for punishment but I thought a drive around Italy in a Porsche would be quite nice with the wife wish me luck.
Been on a couple of rallies before and plan to go to the Nurburg ring this year if the luxe is ok that is, the scallyrally lot are a really good bunch compared to some others out there.

Look forward to the stories and pics, and I must agree Alasdair is a top bloke, soon I actually have some cash again after putting mine on the road I will be emailing him again for some of parts I'm after to add the finishing touches

Its looking good, a lot better than our shed. We had to go 80's and turbo power:

Am sure with a clean and a few stickers it will be fine!

Well been a superb long weekend home now, car made it with a few issues. Deciding what to do with the car now think i'm going to strip it for parts really want to keep her and run her for a weekend car but needs must so she'll be stripped and up on Ebay asap. Not sure yet but pretty sure I wouldn't get anywhere near what i'm after for it so unless work picks up a lot it will have to go.
