Fellow Caymanites, yet another glorious review for the Porsche Cayman.[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]Okay i've spent my pennies on Autocar (4th October edition) and these are some snippets. By the way, the Porsche tested was the Cayman (2.7 engine) and not the Cayman S.

Audi TT 3.2: £29,285 - 0-60: 5.8s
BMW 335i: £33,420 - 0-60: 5.4s
Porsche Cayman: £36,220 - 0-60: 6.1s

"Yes, we could (and possibly should) also have included a Mercedes SLK, but the SLK has gone down to the Cayman so many times already that we thought we'd spare the three-pointed star the pain."

"we don't reckon the M Coupe is the best way of spending 30-35 grand on a BMW right now. Not since Munich created the 335i, that is."

"Drive a new TT or a Cayman and you will get noticed pretty much everywhere you go"

"If you want to know how how far off the mark the TT is, two minutes with the Cayman will tell you all you need to know."

"The 335i steers better than the TT"

"But if you want a car that really delivers on the road, the BMW and the Cayman are in a different league."

"If you are a purist you'll go for the Porsche, because it satisfies on a level even the 335i can't quite reach. If you're sensible, then go for the BMW, because it's easily the best all-rounder."

"As for us, we'd choose the Cayman. And maybe wonder from time to time how much easier life might be with the 335i."

So there you have it. The new Audi TT comes a distant third. The base 2.7 Cayman and the new BMW 335i are honours even. The Beemer is the best all-rounder and the Cayman the best drivers car, just slightly ahead of the 335i.[FONT=verdana,geneva"]
