The November 2006 issue of CAR Magazine has a head-to-head between the BMW Z4 M Coupe, the Porsche Cayman S and a special one-off Nissan 350Z GT-S
Some basic facts and figures:
BMW Z4 M Coupe: 338bhp, 296lb ft, 5.0sec 0-60, 155mph top speed (limited)
Porsche Cayman S: 291bhp, 251lb ft, 5.4sec 0-60, 171mph top speed (claimed)
Nissan 350Z GT-S: 378bhp, 313lb ft, 4.8sec 0-60, 155mph top speed (limited)
So, as you can see, the Porsche Cayman S gives away a huge amount of power and torque to the BMW and Nissan. The road tests were carried out at Spa-Francorchamps.
Lap test times were recorded at Bedford Autodrome and were as follows:
1. Porsche Cayman S: 1.26.85
2. 350Z GT-S Concept: 1.26.95
3. Z4 M Coupe: 1.27.10
The Cayman S got the nod! Hurrah!
