Cayman R PDK: Can Sports Plus Chrono still be retro fitted by dealers?

Good morning

Potentially found a Cayman R PDK but it does not have Sports Chrono.
Can Sports Plus still be retro-fitted by OPC's and has anyone got a rough idea on price, do some OPC's offer discounts to PCGB members?

yes I would say still available. I had it fitted to2 cars in the past circa £700-£800, maybe £1k now days.

Most OPCs offer 10% on parts, but not on labour. Varies by OPC, so worth trying more than one if you they are in range. As ever, life is a negotiation. Parts fitted by OPC have a 2 year warranty.

As above [it’s just a software installation], but although you’ll get the Sport Chrono activation button, I don’t think that it’ll include the facia-mounted clock.

Just contact your nearest dealer for a price, but check with local Porsche Independents for a comparative quote.

Reading quoted £1130 fitted.

So can a Porsche specialist do this job as well? Thought they had to speak to Porsche Germany to get some unlock codes which they then write to car with PIWIS.

yes needs codes and a new front pannel inc a new switch then a code from Germany.

I would think that one of the Porsche Partner Network Independents like RPM Technik, JZM, WEISSACH UK, Nine Excellence, Revolution Porsche or Williams Crawford would be able to do the job, and their labour rates are bound to be lower than the Porsche dealers.
