Hi fellers,

Recieved my Certificate yesterday, and unfourtunatley has my S down as an S2, so will need to request an alteration there, the other thing I am not too sure about is that listed under the optional equipment it states that my car has "Recoil bumpers" is this correct?

I thought that these were fitted to the 911 during the 80's

Anyone help me with this one?

Cheers

I too had mine this week and apparently I've got "sports steering wheel with electric adjustment". I need to get this altered to read seats[;)] Interesting revelation that its production completion date was 23.04.90 and date of registration was 26.03.1991. The details under Selling Porsche Centre declare that this was Porsche Cars Great Britian Limited - Press Car. Regards Bill 1991 944T (perhaps I ought to revise this to 1990?) 55 reg 206 1.4 HDI van S reg 300 Tdi LR Commercial

Does it have a VIN age identifier for 1990 or 1991? Porsche even have an option number for re-VINing, because overstock was a regular problem!

Thank you for the PM response 944 man. It certainly looks like that it has been re-VINed as the CofA declares it as 1990 model year with built on date of 23.04.1990 and from your info has 95zLN1 with the L being a 1991 model year code and registration on 23.03.1991 My car is away having the cam box replaced due to a numpty leaving a bolt in it and riding the cam so I can't look at the car, as I believe the options are on the plate by the boot catch. Is this the place to find the M codes? Regards Bill

My pleasure. Im very tired, and Ive just worked the age identifier out a further twice on my fingers!

Hold on! 'I' wasnt used, so L is a 1990. Sorry for the confusion - I knew that I should have gone to bed and not answered until tomorrow. Inexplicably I do remember that the option code woul dhave been M719. Simon
