CONTI SPORT N(0) RATING TYRES

Having covered 16,000 miles in my Cayman s the rear tyres are needing replacement, however after checking with several tyre fitters/porsche specialists/main dealers I have been informed that Conti have discontinued this tyre (265x35x19 N0 rated) but will have a replacement by April.which I cannot wait for!

Apparently some main dealers are giving customers courtesy cars as they are unable to source from anywhere replacement tyres. Michelin and Bridgestone's are an option but the front tyres are still fine. Kwik fit however have mentionned that there is still the original Sport Contact 2 94y rated tyre which would prove to be a suitable replacent which I am likely to pursue. I checked with my insurer and it seems that a different type of tyre will have no bearing on a possible claim.

Does anyone have any views/tips on this predicament I and many other Porshce owners possibly find themsleves in at present?

Regards
Ant
