Early '85 944 with air con option - wiring help needed

Hi all,
Getting closer to putting my 944 back on road now..only a few more bits and bobs to sort out - at the moment i'm stuck with re-connecting oil pressure gauge, clock and alternator gauge..
Since it's an early dash model with air con(which has now been removed) the wiring is for clock and oil gauuge only..i've got BROWN/RED, BROWN,BROWN/YELLOW, BLACK WITH RED STRIPE AND BLACK WITH WHITE STRIPE hanging about..they're all singles and it's been a while since i last had them connected so any help and advice would be appriciated..tried Haynes manual and Workshop manual but unfortunately boh only state shorts in German and i just can't figure it out.. :(
Othr than that i still have to get my custom exhaust welded on properly, overhaul power steering hoses/pipes (seems to be leaking a bit),possibly 2 new tyres, finish putting all front apron supports back on and fit windscreen washing system) and i'll be ready for a new MOT..it's been over 2 years since last time i drove it..can't wait.. :)

Try the American sites, because most North American series one cars had air conditioning.

I have a 924 Haynes which may be of some use.
Brown and Black/white - Oil pressure
Brown and Black - Voltmeter
Brown and Red - clock
Each also should have a black/gray to illuminate each.
The 944 Haynes also shows
Brown and Black/white - oil
Brown and Black - volt
Brown and Red (connects to a red/black close by) - clock
Hope that gives a place to start!
Mike

My 944 had aircon. Whilst I was removing the switch it turns out that the air con wiring was a separate set of wires and not joined in to the ones for the other dials so if they're still there it should be fairly easy to find them.

I don't remember the colours (half of them weren't plugged in anyway) but there was a 4 pin plug and I believe 4 other spade connectors in the same group. My haynes manual should have a wiring diagram for it so I'll see if I can scan it at some point for you.
