I have a 944 and the hinge stops are broken on both sides. I seem to recall there are metal alternatives available somewhere. Can anyone shed any light or give me a clue where to look please???

Cheers

Not sure what the official name is but it's brown. It's a 1987 944S. However, the colour should be fairly immaterial as the inside of the glovebox is black, and the existing stops are black plastic. The glovebox lid can be disassembled and rebuilt with good components, I'm just struggling to find any good components!

I managed to get a new casette tray hinge last year, but this is a bit more tricky....

Have you tried Porsche for a new pair? The plastic ones last 20 years and might cost peanuts.

If not, can you find out a price, as I need to do mine at some point! [8|]

From what I can see Porsche only do the glove box door as a full replacement, can't see anything about the stops being available seperately on the PET list

ORIGINAL: sulzeruk

I have some good non broken lids here. You can have them for the postage!

Me too, me too!

Alasdair, if you have any marine blue ones I'm interested. Also, do you have any clocks, and a left hand fog light lens (or full unit)

Cheers!
