hiya all, car is driving great, all gauges and readings ok but after putting in some gas, she refused to start, when i tried to lock then unlock to release immbolizer and unable to do that!, i noticed the alarm/immo switch/bulb had a flickering and weak light instead of flashing on and off when car is locked, as i said my voltage readings etc are all ok and problem seems to be with the alarm/immob, i almost forgot to say after locking and unlocking manually and generally fiddling about trying to lock and unlock with immob pad, she started and all readings ok, any ideas and is it a big job to dis-connect immob? thanks regards as always jason p ps could my starter motor be on the way out?

Could be a failing immobiliser. The surefire diagnosis of that would be to remove it from circuit ...
It's a big-ish job. And a fiddle. Locate the main immobiliser unit, find the black wires that come out of it, try and work out which black wires are paired (they are used to break circuits in the car) and wire the immobiliser out of circuit. You need to be methodical and careful, and don't go shorting wires out unless you are sure they are right.
(You ought to) Tell your insurance company as well. They will have something (expensive) to say about you having a much-more-nickable Porsche.
Oli.
