OK guys I am running out of ideas here. I have had the air flow meter off this afternoon for some testing and cleaning. All turned out to be well with the AFM and a quick adjustment to the wiper was made to bring it out of it's grooves. Tested again prior to installation and all was good. When I started the car again it is running seriouly rich. I mean I don't even need the AFR to tell me so I can smell and see it.. Checked all the plugs and all is good. Took the AFM out again stripped it and tested it again - all good. Refitted and same story. Have tested the DME temperature sensor and that seems fine. I am running out of ideas??? Could I have developed a short in the feedback from the AFM to the DME (I assume that is where it goes) for the air flow reading or the air temperature reading?
