I used to be decisive, but now I'm not so sure

Whilst I'm still wresling with the Basalt/Meteor dilemma, can any one give advice on a few of the options I'm considering on my 2.7, whilst trying to keep under £40K? (By the way, where are all the midnight blue Caymans - does no one go for this colour?)
I decided not to go for sport seats, as I didnt feel they looked significantly better or more comfortable for my build and cost nearly £500 extra with part leather.
Auto climate control - is it much better than standard air-con? Isn't it just a thermostat?
Auto dimming mirrors - thought these might be good as its a low car. Do they work well or are they just a gimmick?
How about the wiper rain sensors? I can imagine them being irritating. Can they be switched off?
Does the twin exhast tip look ok or just maxpowery? Does it change the exhast note?
Has anyone caried out the de-snorking (as our US colleages call it), by removing the vanes in the side air scoops? Any pics or opinions? I've heard it can add a couple of HP (well it is a 2.7) but even if it doesn't, they reckonit looks cool, sort of 997 turbos-ish.
