At last my Cayman S and first ever Porsche is here and I collected it on Saturday.
My wife says I havent stopped smiling since.
Couldnt sleep on Friday night was like a kid on Christmas eve and when I got up Saturday morning half expected to see a Xmas tree downstairs and a turkey roasting in the oven.
Well I collected it, service at my OPC was pretty poor and they have got to have it back for a valet next week to sort out a few interior Autoglym water spots inside.
They just took my money, a thank you a breifing on the car then I was off.
Now I half expected some sort of free gift as when I recently bought our son a new Honda Civic the Honda Garage gave him loadsa freebies, this car was over 3 times as much and not a sausage.
Had a quick run around Saturday as Cardiff were playing in the afternoon ( and they won ), but yesterday went around Brecon and the Elan Valley with the wife. Loads of nice empty winding roads and it felt great.
Did over 250 miles and felt on top of the world and in some places I was up in the mountains of the Brecon Beacons, car got a bit messy but gave it a quick jet wash on my return and it looks like new again.
In case anyone wants to know its
Midnight Blue with Sand Beige Interior...well I think it looks good lol
19" Sports Design Wheels
PCM ...came in real handy yeterday
Bose Speakers...probably a waste of money but does make a difference I think
Heated Seats...not used yet
Climate Control...had it on many cars and is a must IMO
Full Leather...does finish the interior off quite nicely
Embossed Headrest..well they look nice
Rear Sensor...a must
Dimming Mirrors.. seem ok not done much night time driving yet
Multi function Steering Wheel...this is really good and can control all aspects of the PCM from it.
6 Disc auto changer... I know it can play MP3's but thought it would complete the sound system better.
Coloured Wheel Centers... they looked nicer than the plain ones that I saw in the showroom.

So will join Porsche Club GB tonight for real and now feel part of the family lol

Oh yes as I was driving North towards mid Wales saw loadsa Porsches driving South together and some flashed me too...nice touch, didnt see any Caymans tho !!

Thanks for reading and hopefully will be able to reply here more often now with my views over the coming months

Tony
