Ive decided to put my car up for sale this week as i would like to pursue my dream of getting a 928 s4. A few people have advised me that there a few pitfalls with 928s and i should reconsider but i got similar advice when i was looking for a 944 and to be honest ive enjoyed every minute of this 944 and i shall be sad to see it go but i just cant keep it and buy a 928.
Thanks also to anyone who offered help when i got stuck with any problems.

Cheers Paul, ive tried to cover everything as i know a good ad can make or break a deal. Just sad to sell but the lure of a 928 is becoming overwhelming lol.

What I would give for your brown crack free dash.

Good luck with your search for a 928. I owned a 928 S2 about 15 years ago and it was reliable and relatively cheap to run apart from fuel, I remember only getting about 17 mpg. I believe maintenance can be expensive on the S4 particularly if anything goes wrong with the cam chains or cam sprockets.

Thanks Jim, always fancied owning one and have heard plenty of horror stories but i have learnt with the 944 that its about buying the best you can as its easy to buy what appears to be a cheap car only for you to have to sink loads of money into it to put it right. It was a bit of a learning curve with this one but a fun one too.
Im fortunate that i have a friend who works for an indie nearby who would do an inspection and he has done a lot of work on this 944 for me too. I have set my heart on an S4 so once i have sold the 944 the hunt can begin in earnest.
