Rain water leak - any experiences?

I have a 2003, 2.7 model and was wondering if anyone has had a similar leak which is in the well behind the passenger seat (wet carpet). Porsche has designed it so water from the rear of the hood drains into a tray below the flap forward of the boot lid. There are drains each side on this tray which are visible with the hood in the service position (flap open) but these are clear of rubbish. I was wondering if these drains are insufficient to handle the large amount of rainwater we have been having recently, particularly as I park on a slope facing down. I have now taken to parking up the slope in the hope that it will improve matters.

Has anyone else had this problem?

It is a really common problem. Make sure the drain tubes are clear all the way to where they exit.

The alarm control module is under the passenger seat, and the water gravitates to that point. Make sure it doesn't get to the module, as it will end up with an expensive bill.
