Silverstone next Monday - who's coming?

Just wondered who managed to book and who's coming along for a few passenger laps?

I'll be coming along to spectate and hopefully get some pax laps too.

Myself also. [8D]

Was hoping that I'd get a chance to experience the white beast now the supercharger is on, last time it was incredibly quick without it! Next time maybe.

ME! hired a trailer today (Coupe is sorned) once I received the email saying the 98 not 95db! was almost considering the cab at 95 or putting a standard exhaust back on the coupe

Car will be smoky but I'm looking forward to it, didn't do any days last year so been missing the track.

I asked Melindi this - apparently there's a man who measures drive by noise and if they think you're a bit loud will pull you in for a static test.

It's not like Oulton or Cadwell where they test every car. Just to give myself a bit more chance I'm going to put an extra can on the back of my exhaust as mine is a bit loud.

Do you know where he stands? [:D][:D]

Sorry

Melindi's detailed answer to my question about noise testing and where the meter is for drive by readings was

"It's not a particular somewhere. It's a man and a thingy." [:D]

has anyone ever seen people fail noise tests at SIlverstone? I don't recall it.

I think Fen fell foul of the noise police at Silverstone, mines ok except for when the exhuast pops on change up - got me pulled in at Donny.

Fens noise was the really loud turbo whistle through his MAF pipe and cone filter. His Hayward & Scott 3" exhaust was loud but nowhere near the turbo whistle

Hi Mark,

Awesome evening - had a great time! The Monaro CV8 did very well and managed to finish off the rear pads (now down to backing material), get a little hot at times (up to 120 deg C - coolant) and as a finishing party finale - spewed out some diff oil! Finshed off the Yoko A048's as well!

Nice to see Paul, Peter, Ed, Mark D (3.2 Turbo) and Sean (sorry if I missed anybody else). Weather was warm and sunny and we only had one stoppage near the beginning. Heavy traffic at times and it was weird taking the fast sweeper through Vale (as per old Historic GP crcuit layout). Abbey was same as Bridge GP circuit

Thanks Ed for saving us all £20!

Regards,
Andrew

I had a great time - not sure all my passengers did...

Would be good to see the blue car out some time Mark.

2 highlights for me were the old mini going round each corner sideways, and the lotus (elite?) that was drifting through the bends at high speed.
