Silverstone next Monday - who's coming?

Also had a great time despite my very late arrival - major schoolboy error - leaving the keys behind [][][][][]

one half spin - to prove I was trying - very rusty and some ropey lines, first time on track for 2 years - must try harder!

Some enjoyable laps with Mark, you have to really work a 2.5 Very hard to play with the 3.2s [:)]

And great to see Eds honda - lots of character,

Andrew looked like he was having fun in the monaro!

Pah, I managed a full spin, and lines clearly indicated I had't a clue. Really enjoyed it, other than the wierd M25 style high-speed convoys on occasion (are most cars getting faster or is it my old age?).

Great to meet everybody, and put a few more faces to your names. Highlights: Aston racecar, Monkfish Monaro going sideways through Becketts, and a small original Green Mini going sideways absolutely everywhere. Fast, too.

That was a great evening, really nice to meet up with everyone again, although it was a little frustrating not to be driving around (mercifully they had a long reserve list so I wasn't too tempted to take the 944S out at the last minute [;)]), but had some great pax laps nonetheless. Not sure I'm that keen on the changes to the track, but at least it's a new challenge and I don't think anyone found the old Vale/Club to be a favourite, so no huge loss.

I was really impressed by Ed's car, very quick and seemed a lot of fun - that vtec engine is a real screamer.

Sounds like it was a hoot, glad you all had a good time,my race car is in bits(don't ask...[:(]) being repaired by the ever helpful guys at OPC Leicester so wouldnt have been able to make it even if there was space....next time...
Any pics knocking around of your fun evening???[:D]

It was a fantastic evening, huge thanks to Ed and Andrew for the rides. You couldn't get two more contrasting cars than the little Honda and the supertanker-sized Monaro, yet both were hillariously good fun to be a passenger in. Very good driving from all as well, which is more than could be said for a couple of the other cars there.

What a superb evening - probably the most enjoyable track evening I've done so far [:D]. Great to meet some faces old and new. I was really pleased at how well the car performed (despite some pretty dodgy driving early on!) I much prefer the new Vale/Club, but am not too keen on the high kerbs that have been installed. I remember being relieved to come away from a spin at Maggotts completely unscathed last year, whereas the same spin now could result in some suspension damage.

So, who is up for the 11th August? [:D]

Great video Ed, think I'll have to get a couple of those for the next track day.

I've just uploaded a few pics, unfortunately my camera seems to be playing up a bit (dodgy focus and light levels) so they're not great and are undedited as I'm far too lazy tonight, but hopefully they're better than nothing!

I think that the youtube processing after upload has improved the video - it's much better today.

What the video doesn't really capture is how mobile the car is & how much it moves around (or maybe that's just my imagination?) - looks much smoother in the vid.

After we had the car back on the trailer I noticed that those with more experience turned the trailer round so the slope assisted with the loading!
