Porsche Centre Teesside June 10th June 11am - 4pm

Following the success of our last Sportscar Together Day at OPC Teesside, R3 has again been invited by Ross Jameson,Centre Principal, to create a small, yet varied display to complement their newer models and have kindly allocated us enough space for around 15-20 members’ cars.

With your help we believe this not only gives R3 another great opportunity to depict an interesting and varied timeline of some of our earlier models, representative of the past 75 years, but also the chance to enjoy another family friendly fun day courtesy of the dealership.

Having spoken with Ross & Dave Carnaffin, the aim is to replicate something like our previous R3 display during their 70th anniversary celebrations, which included everything from a great mix of early 911’s to a few of our members newer cars at the time, obviously the older and more unusual the better, however pretty much anything from the classic register would be preferable.

Obviously, with only a few weeks to go, time is of the essence and as clearly the dealership is able to fill the newer model gaps firstly, we would like to invite any members who have an older, unusual or special car of interest to please submit their details and membership no, HERE as soon as possible for consideration.

Members will be notified if successful over the next week or so, but please remember this is just a bit of fun and sadly we won’t be able to accommodate everyone. For those who do take part as a small incentive, we hope to have a small prize for the best car in the line up on the day as voted by the either dealership or the members.

Please Note prior to registering:

All participants, must be willing to attend regardless of weather conditions and be able to commit to being onsite from 9.30am - 4pm with absolutely no exceptions.

Due to the limited number of spaces, understandably there’s sure to be quite a few disappointed members, but please remember regardless of showing your car or not everyone is invited to pop along and enjoy the unrivalled Porsche Teesside’s legendary hospitality.

Hi Greg and Dave,

I'm happy to offer my 997.1 C4S if you can use it.

It's a bit like me, got a few miles on the clock, needs oiling every now and then, but scrubs up nicely for a "do'..:ROFLMAO:

I'll fill in the form...

Sir John

Hi Greg and Dave

Form completed and happy to be there, whatever the weather, if required.

Thanks

Mike & Barbara

Thanks John & Mike, great support from you both as usual, fingers crossed we get a good few others that follow your example.

Form submitted. Hopefully will be a great day like last time. Looking forward to it.

Thanks for organising this.

Hi Greg

More than happy to support if you need another Boxster?

Really enjoyed being part of the 70th display, cant believe it was 5 years ago!!

Cheers

Joolz

Thanks, Joolz, hope all is well, please can you complete the form so we can add you to the list.

It really is unbelievable just how quickly time passes, until you start to look back and adding up just how many enjoyable experiences we've all enjoyed, thanks to these awesome cars and fabulous brand.

If anyone needs a reminder, why not check out our community page there’s plenty of brilliant memories of not just our last 70th anniversary line up, but a small snapshots from a few of the countless events we've done over the last few years, or click this link to take you straight to the R3 Regional page.

My car is well worn rather than classic Greg. But I will certainly be there on the day.

Hi Greg

Is it OK just to pop down on the day? I’m on lift duty so would probably only be able to spend an hour or so if I can get from Newcastle quickly. I’m assuming there will be food available.

Enjoyed the 70th celebrations there last time.

Evening Trevor, of course only those in the display need to arrive early, all other visitors are welcome to come and go as they please, no need to book the more the merrier and yes I am told there will be food available on the day.[:)]

We're really looking forward to welcoming everyone down to the Centre to help us celebrate 75 years of Porsche.

Your desire and willingness to get involved and support us with this event is hugely appreciated.

For anyone who has agreed for their car to be part of the heritage display, the site will be open for vehicle movements between 9.00am - 10.30am (Event doors open at 11.00am) The site will be locked down, with no vehicle movement permitted until 4.00pm.

For anyone attending the event, parking will be available in the businesses opposite the Centre and will be clearly signposted on the day.

For those who have registered to display cars, please check your emails. I had intended to get these out earlier, but work tends to get in the way these days.

Thank you all for your support.

Hi Guys

Registered for this on the day released, got a brief email back, heard nothing else so tried again on Friday but getting a generic reply. Anyone got the same issue ? Think I have booked in the 944 turbo S

Alastair

I assume you followed the link on the original post, if so Greg E-Mailed an additional form for completion yesterday to those who provided the original information, it maybe worth checking your E-Mail including the “spam”

Regards

Mike Walden

Morning Alastair, FYI I've already emailed and texted you since you were chomping at the bit, although you've registered your car twice, listing two different colours, I note to date we are still waiting for the return of your info sheet.

Thank you everyone who came along today to support not just the Region but also this incredible dealership. Apologies once again for my late show due to work commitments, but I'm told Dave & Deb and everyone else that mucked in, put up and teardown, did an awesome job, proving once again R3 is a real team effort.

Cracking day, fabulous weather, good friends and of course some truly outstanding cars on show all whilst enjoying Porsche Teesside's legendary hospitality.

Incredible day and a fantastic job done by Porsche Teesside! hospitality like no other. My family really enjoyed themselves and it was great to catch up with a few member. Just finished our takeaway. Will be an early night. thanks all
