Sunroof adjust

My 86 turbo appears to have a different sunroof lifter set up to later cars, the car is an 86 model the roof is lifting slightly higher on the passenger side.
Is there a quick way of adjustment ?
The roof works fine and shuts correctly just lifts unvenly, no sign of the infamous plastic gears BTW, taken a quick look but have not gotten too involved yet.
Any ideas ?
 
With the roof fully up just count how many notches the drivers side is and check against the pass side, then with the roof up take the cover off that goes over the plastic gears and you'll be able to adjust the pass to the same hight as the drivers, plate back on, should be job done[:)]

Change the gears whilst you're in there. I guarantee they'll strip the next time you open it if you don't, and they're only a couple of £s.
