Thanks...

... just a vote of thanks to the good people of this forum - I'm not going to name names (because I would forget some and that would be terrible!), they know who they are...

I choose to run an S2 as a daily driver, covering around 30k miles a year... parts wear out! normally these are service items , and you just replace them... this year everything came at once, common jobs and service items would have cost me £1600 for parts alone, and I had to economise... using second-hand parts aquired through this forum, it is costing me less than half that... a lot less than half that, to keep it on the road for another year or so...

My annual membership of the PCGB has been saved by a member offering to get parts couriered for me at his discounted rates too...

So, for enabling me to enjoy driving a '44 all the time rather than some so-called econobox, I thank you all.

Definitely and free, for the most part, from the sort of forum nonsense that blights PH and most others.

Oh don't worry too much - we can soon change that!

ETA: Agreed, it's a great place, and I would quite possibly not be driving a 944 if it wasn't for this forum. Bravo to everyone. (Even the turbo owners.) Glad to hear that your old girl is staying on the road Tref. She's worth it.

Same here, its been thanks in part to people here thats helped me make the move from 924 to 944 (thankfully via the S so had my head around the mechanics of the 44)

Sure there'll be more need for thanks in the future as well!! And once I've recovered financially from getting the '44 on the road I might even have enough money left for club membership lol
