(Just teasing .... but someone should add a comment to the Piston Head board relating to 'Benefits of joining PCGB' or the 'Has PCGB Lost the Plot' thread ....... At least we have stable website .... )
That might just be tempting fate! [&o]

Interesting. Why bother to hack TiPEC? I'd have thought a hacker would have better targets to concentrate on ...ORIGINAL: pauljmcnulty

as a chap who has rented and run quite a few web servers I could mention that it's quite common knowledge that many hosts who will say a forum has been ' hacked' when what has really happened is that their equipment has failed.
Instead of saying to the customer our servers or switches are old and s*** , it is so much more convenient to say ' we suffered a serious attack ' , this excuse is VERY popular with hosts, not that I'm saying this was the case here of course [

As i recall at last years Silverstone Classic i was stood with Josh Sadler and Sean Smallman (TIPEC Chairman) when he offered spare space on infield parking of TIPEC to the members of PCGB, even Josh commented that is was good to see co-operation between the clubs. So not all negative!

Same here RS for PCGB and member of TIPEC. Always surprised by adverse comments between clubs as have good time with both. There and again i am a car enthusiast
Always puzzles me, as I see the two as complimentary and have hardly ever seen one being critical of the other. Has there been anything on Tipec about PCGB? I rarely get time to read it, being busy enough here, and winding up a couple of the people on PH. [&:]

Bearing in mind their forum seems to think we are all morris dancing, beard wearing car polishers ( and I have no issue with any of those 3 things he says quickly) perhaps it was divine justice.![]()

Actually, it was over on Pistonheads where people were recently calling PCGB members that.
They were tarring TIPEC members with the same brush, though; it was just a few folk who don't "˜get' car club membership at all, not something about PCGB specifically.

Ah, thought it would be unlikely that we were getting grief on Tipec as well!
Normal service is resumed, lol. I do love the guys on PH, "I don't like car Clubs. I'll never join one. Your's is rubbish, though, and I think you need to run it differently". [&:]
