Meet the Board

 

Our Board are volunteers, bringing a diverse mix of experience, business skills and Porsche ownership enthusiasm to Club Management and Leadership. 
 
All put in countless unpaid hours in evolving and driving a strategy for the Club and dealing with the myriad issues and challenges that come with the fiduciary responsibility of a governing a Club with almost 23,000 members. 
 
All Directors must be elected for a two-year term and there is a maximum of two consecutive terms. Some can be co/opted between annual elections but they either resign or be elected at the first opportunity and never beyond 12months from joining. 


Nick Taylor
Chairman, Finance & Risk Director
Nick joined the Board in late 2022 and became Chair in March 2023.
 
An experienced international financier, business leader and more latterly Consultant in organisational risk & change, Nick has been a Porsche enthusiast and owner for over 30 years.
 
Interested in the entire breadth of Porsche's range and heritage and enjoying equally both Classic and Contemporary models, his favourite model is the one he's lucky enough to be driving. 
 
He has been Regional Organiser of R31 (Cotswolds) for three years.

Steve Johnson
Vice Chairman, Register Director
Steve has been VC and Register Director since May 2023 and has also been running our highly successful 997 Register for a number of years. 
 
He's an infectious enthusiast, Motorsport Marshall and Club Organiser known to many members for his tireless energy and good humour in directing operations at our major events. 
 
Currently employed in Aerospace and with a broad management background, including procurement and logistics, Steve brings a wealth of relevant experience and contacts to the Board. 
 
Based in Yorkshire, he's a 997 fan and expert but also puts countless miles on his Macan.

Ian Trapp - Commercial Director  
Ian joined the Board in late 2023. A seasoned Motor Industry Senior Executive he brings real focus to evolving our key commercial relationships and a wealth of sectoral management experience and network to the Board. 

Currently on his second 718 Spyder with a third on the way, he loves cars, heritage  all they stand for but particularly driving them. 

He's often leading groups of Porsche enthusiasts driving through the heart of England.

Carrie Mason
HR & Operations Director
As a Club member with a life long passion for the Brand, Carrie gives her knowledge and support as our legal advisor and Director. She is a practising Barrister and former company director. Carrie’s enthusiasm for the Club and its inclusivity for all members is overwhelming and palpable. Carrie welcomes discussion and contact with members.

Ian Bevis
Information & Technology Director
Ian was elected as IT Director in April 2023. He is the founder and Principal of Chameleon Web Services, a successful Website Design and Digital Marketing Agency. 
 
Besides his technical expertise and leadership of our IT Group, he brings relative youth, energy and modernism to the Board. 
 
He's a Porsche nut, owning a 997 GT3 and 991 Turbo S Exclusive examples of both the 911 and Taycan Turbo. He spent a chunk of his last year’s vacation exploring Zuffenhausen and Porsche’s heritage. We are trying to get him into Classics.

Paul Seagrave
Motorsport Director
Paul has previous experience as a Porsche Club Director and is the current Chair of Porsche Club Motorsport. 
 
He rejoined the Board in May 2023 as because our Track Days and Motorsport series are such an integral part of our Membership proposition, it was felt that Motosport should be represented on Governance. 
 
Paul is a race fan and competitor. Perhaps unsurprisingly, he drives a fabulous Cayman S.
