PCGB Go-Karting Event - Thursday 24th April 7pm

Hi Guys, I’ve arranged a Go-Karting event at the Karting North East Centre at Warden Law, Sunderland.

It’s a “Grand Prix” race event with a 15 minute qualifier and 30 minute race to follow. Yor need to be there 40 mins before for safety briefing, signing your life away and getting equipment, etc. - if it rains it still goes ahead and we get given rainsuits!

I’ve created the event with them online and it’s open to bookings now, click HERE, choose the number of people you are booking for and then use the calendar to select Thursday 24th April, there will be a Blue Box at 7pm stating how many spaces are left available, click that and complete the booking process. Cost is £58 per person and for complete transparency I haven‘t benefited in any way as organiser.

It’s open to anyone 16+ so if you want to bring a child (preferably your own), partner, friend, spouse, lover then you’re more than welcome - the only rule is they can’t be too good and show us all up!

As there is no way of seeing who’s booked on so far it would be helpful if people posted up here if they’ve booked.

The slot is for up to 35 people, as of know there are 30 places left (due to KNE’s booking system the event is technically open to anyone to book on to so the only way of guaranteeing 100% exclusivity is to book it out completely). I’ll update the list as best I can:

1: David C
2: Steve F
3: Ollie B
4: Claude F
5: Ben B

Thanks Mike, I won‘t be at club night tonight but Dave will mention it.

List currently looks like this then with 19 spaces left:

1: David C
2: Steve F
3: Ollie B
4: Claude F
5: Ben B
6: Ed G?
7:???
8:???
9:???
10:???
11: Mike W
12: Gary V
13: Emma V
14: David T
15: David T’s +1
16: Jack
17: Jack’s Daughter
18: Dave C
19: ???
20: Andy M
21: Andrew C-H
22: James C-H

I'm still nursing the bruises from my last Go-Karting "off", so although I won't drive, I will be there to enjoy the fun and spectate. Hopefully we can also get a good crowd to support (y)

Hi Dave, I'm one of your mystery bookers above and I've also added my daughter as a second driver this afternoon. She's quicker than me at the electric karting on Scotswood Road because of her 6 stone weight advantage, but the question remains as to whether she can do it on a wet, windy Thursday night in Houghton...

cheers
Jack

If we’re MarioKart themed then she can be Princess Peach, we all know Dave Carnaffin will be Bowser!
