Anyone using the M5 last night about 5-5.30pm going South between Bristol and Exeter ?

I joined the M5 at Bridgwater J24 and was humming along at 85mph in my old Mondeo (work car) when a huge Army vehicle hurtled past me like I was standing still !....[8|]

"what the heck was that " I said or words to that effect [:D]

This vehicle was very high with a driver sitting out in the open with a crash helmet.Obviously a chassis of some sort in Gulf War sand colour.

Intrigued to see more I cranked the old girl up to 90mph and proceeded to follow this thing for several miles. Not getting any nearer I upped my speed to 95mph which was a bit hairy for Mondy and still this thing was losing me in the fast lane.

Nothing and I mean nothing passed it. It had to have been doing over 100mph [:(]

The noise it made as it passed me was a howl and scream of protesting gears as I'm sure no diesel Army vehicle is designed to do half that speed.

Camera fone at the ready but couldn't catch it .

State visit by the outgoing President of the USA? [8|]

Oh no, you said he was wearing a crash helmet.....[&o]
