17-18 May Angelsey Track Day & Porsches on the Prom

The irrepressible Brendan Daly, R6 RO and Op Director, has organised another Spring weekend in North Wales on 17th & 18th May.

Saturday is a PCGB track day on the super smooth Anglesey Circuit. I went last year and thoroughly enjoyed myself. It's a beautiful spot with coastal views to boot.

On Sunday, it's Porsches on the Prom in Llandudno where 217 of us gathered last year.
This year's meet, is at a later date, and gives a better chance that it'll be warmer than last year.
It would be great to meet up with other 964 owners either on the track day or on the prom. I'm thinking along the lines of dining together Saturday night in Llandudno and then arriving en masse on Sunday to take over part of the prom for our register.
If anyone is interested let me know.

It is certainly a great location. With Brendan's enthusiasm at the helm, this is bound to be another great event.

Travelling down on the Saturday with the better half and staying at the Imperial Hotel on the promenade.

Is there any structure to the display or do we all just park wherever??

You are the only other 964 owner whose contacted me regards Llandudno so I haven't bothered to organise parking. The Prom opens about 10am so head there and the marshals will guide you to a spot.

If you arrive in time on Sat come over to the Anglesey Circuit and say hello.

A bit late as have been busy going up and down between Cheshire and London - after the Anglesey trackday had to turn up at Duxford Aerospace Museum in a 356 - just for display , not to be consigned to the museum [:D]

Anyway , here's my quick sample of 2 laps of Anglesey in the afternoon , glorious day , track very uncrowded , and the 964 is a good car for the twisty circuit . The cage mounted GoPro does a good job of picking up that flat six engine noise , despite the wind roar from the part opened windows. Hopefully the Club had enough participants to run the day again next year .
Good to see the register secretary there in one of his 964s....and also to see Talat's very green widebody in action , having previously seen it worked on in the Unit 11 garage. Steve B's ( boxsey) tea supply helped to combat heatstroke [;)]

It was good to meet you too Robert, it made for a nice social day after the fun at Anglesey.

A brief glimpse of Talat in his signal green 964 and a few laps following a yellow 997:
