18" Alloys

I am looking to upgrade my alloy wheels from 17s to 18s. My question is can I put 18" alloys strait onto my 2001 Boxster or do I need to modify anything to get them to fit?

Porsche wheels designed for the Boxster should be a straight swap.
Those for the 996 are a tad wider at the back, and you will need spacers/shims.

This is for a 2001 car. Note for others who may be reading this - pre 1998 Model Year cars cannot fit larger than 17" wheels - the later cars were strengthened to allow for the increased loads on the suspension/body from the larger wheels.
