18" Split-Rims - Genuine V Replica

I'm looking for a set of 18" Split Rims (3.6 style). I'm finding it very hard to locate a set of genuine Speedlines, so contemplating replicas.

Has anyone fitted replica 18" split rims? Any problems at all?

I bought a set, they looked identical, the only problem with them is no matter how hard you try to keep them polished and clean, the polished rim will start to flake in 6 months maybe sooner.

They are also hard to refurb as i found out.

I would not recommend them due this but they do look bloody nice. If you can get them without the polished rim, your laughing.

Hope this helps

There are a couple of sets of Porsche Cup split rims in PP this month, but if you want to go the replica route, go to www.pwsukdirect.com.
I have a set of theirs fitted to my car and they look perfect and have caused no problems at all.

Don't know where you picked that up from Shaun; that's not what I said - although
I'm quite sure that there are bad replica wheels out there.
From my experience (and the previous owners), PWS have proved good on my car, and were supplied by Pickup Motorsport, who also have a reputation to maintain..
Bottom line is that the integrity of your cars wheels is absolutely crucial, and if you have any concerns at all about what you are fitting, then you probably shouldn't!

Hi John,
My reply was actually for the previous post (not sure how the reply got 'out of order'). PWS is a name I have come across now 3 or 4 times. The wheels they supply sound like a real alternative to genuine Speedlines.
Mant thanks.
