18" versus 17" wheel values and availability

Could someone let me have a rough feel for the likely prices of a set of 18" Turbo ("look", I think) wheels in as-new condition and a similar quality set of Porsche 17" rims? (can't think what the style's called for the moment - but the standard 17" type for a 993).

Assuming one had a set of the 18" ones, would it be an easy-ish job to sell those on and purchase a set of 17", or perhaps swap them for a set of 17" rims with cash my way?

regards
Nick

The standard 17" 993 wheels are called "Cup 2"s.

When I was looking about a year ago I never really found what I regarded as a totally right set on ebay (always the seller was admitting one of the wheels wanted a bit of work or something else odd) - but the sets I saw sold seemed to go for about 500.

I've heard that 18s are more sought after, but I've not been looking so have no info.

I bought a set of OEM 17" cup 2s in good condition last year via ebay for £500 with decent tyres.

OEM 18" wheels generally go for another £200 or so. For 18" hollows-spokes add another £300 at least.

Hi,
Bought my genuine OEM 18" Hollow spokes with very good part worn Continental tyres for 500 off e bay a couple of years ago, needed some refurb but are now as new, done 6000 miles on the tyres the backs will need replacing end of this year[:D]

Hollow Spokes & Solid Spokes are getting increasingly hard to come by and prices do seem to be on the up.

I currently have too many 993 wheel sets and i'm thinking about selling a set of OEM WB 8" & 10" Solid Turbo Looks, recently refurbished/powder coated with no tyres, and would also like to know what sort of price to achieve?

C.
