18" Wheels on a 95 C2

Are there any issues associated with fitting the 18" Genuine Turbo Technology wheels (as standard on the C2S) onto a 95 C2, narrow bodied car?

My car is a LHD import - will this still be covered by the wiring loom recall?

you need a Steering Rack Brace - Reinforcing Cross Strut (part No. 993.347.131.02)

recommended by Porsche for 1995 993 with 18" or larger wheels

regards

Why does it adversly affect handling, I would have thought that it would stiffen the car up?

Any ideas how much the Steering Rack Brace costs, and how expensive it is to get fitted?

The steering brace is not very expensive, around £25.

I had 18" wheels on my last 993 and the ride was very choppy and tramlining got worse. If it is looks then go for it, but from my own personal experience the car is much better on 17" wheels

There might be a more important point which is "will the rears fit?". Did the C2S come with narrowbody rear wheels (with an offset ET65) and use spacers or did they fit the Turbo wheels (offset ET40).

If you are being offered the Turbo wheels and the rears therefore have the ET40 offset then they will not fit on a 95 C2.

Ian.
