interesting - I think that is the dichotomy - looks or feel.

Seem to remember a massive debate about this when I was running my M3 ( fell for the propoganda and specced 18's due to the purity, handling advantage etc etc ). Hadn't had the car for too long before I bought a set of 19's to fill the arches out better and complete the 'look'.
The truth is that the difference is so small that the cosmetics win the day every time.
I have driven both on the 997 and to be fair did feel that the 18 inch package was ever so slightly more composed on our pathetically surfaced UK roads but then again it was a C2 without PASM so that might have been the greater influence. Splitting hairs at the end of the day.
19's it is then.

I have 18" wheels without pasm which is good except they dont fill the rear arches in particular. Are 19" tyres not 305 as well?
Lawrence
C2S 19 inch wheels are 295's
Looks can win over drivability when it comes to re-sale, however disappointing that may sound : this was the case with the M3. This may not be the case with the amount of enthusisasts who buy Porsche for the driving experience.
