I had the original 17" 5 spoke alloys for my 2001 C4 which I hated so they are now in the garage and only come out for track use. I replaced them with a set of 19" 997 turbo replicas (German) with Conti N rated tyres and am much happier, but if I was being picky the only down side to date is that the ride is slightly firmer and the road noise has increased, but not to the point where either are an issue for me.
I know the general opinion is to stick with OGM alloys and not to put 19's on, but I would be VERY interested to see if anyone else has any good/bad experience of putting a larger wheels on, particularly in the handling department?
