19 inch Techart wheels off 4s on narrowbody?

Hi guys.

Just a quick question. I may be getting some 19" techart wheels that have come off a 4s.

I am getting these wheels really cheap so wanted to know if they would go straight on or what modification would have to be done.

If the wheels fit I will have a set of carrera 18" wheels with two brand new rears and 6 month old fronts for sale.

Thanks.

I don't know the offsets but I suspect the Techart rear wheels outer face will be about 15mm further out than originals. Try this link with the dimensions.

Which techart rims are they? Nothing wrong with them poking ut a bit further on the rear if you have the clearance!

These are the rims.

They are coming off a 996 not 997 like the picture.

I think they are formula 2s. not sure though. Will find out more today.

I think they look awesome, but if they dont fit will have to give them a miss.

They'd look great on your car! They should also be relatively lightweight for 19s if genuine tech arts. Worst case scenario roll the arches if you love the rims? Are you on standard suspension?

yes i quite like them!![:D]

Standard suspension. i just wasa not sure if they would stick out or not.

if you're getting them at a great price they could be worth a punt regardless, you'd be able to pass them on without too many issues I'd expect.

You havn't specified the rim width for the Techart.
From memory!!! the standard 18" 996 wheel was 10" ET65
The Techart 19" rims are probably ET52
So assuming the Techarts 19" are same 10" width then outset of rim would be +13mm
If Techart 19" are say 10.5" then outset of rim would be +19mm (13+half the extra width)
If Techart 19" are say 11" then outset of rim would be +25mm (13+half the extra width)

Wheel sizes and offsets (RO) are shown in the document in this post: http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/fb.asp?m=623002

The C4S uses the same wheels as the Turbo. Rears are 11" wide, and ET45 offset.
Narrow Body are 10" wide, and ET65 offset.

Hey Liam,

Will be looking to get rid of them.

They look similar to yours though!

Are you interested?

They only thing is that I have been away and am trying to arrange a time with owner of the techarts to try them on the car

Yes mate i could be, mine aren't the best in all honesty and could do with being totally refurbed.

So i could probably so with another set, that way i can decide what to do.
