Not mine but worth a look just for his description

" a right hand drive Porsche 912! I did not know they existed! How many are in the country?"

" She really wants a restoration as the body has started to go rusty in a few places"

" I love talking about her and I will answer any questions completely honestly to save us both time and energy!"

They are asking " only" £4999 on their website. I looked a better LHD 67 912 last night that I wouldn' t have paid more than £1000 for. Admittedly the engine was dead, but it had less rust than this RHD.

Looks a bit ropey to me - Dont mind the 356 on his site though. On another subject - the temp gauge I' , after is seen on the left hand side in this picture taken from his web site - anyone?

Early front wings & bonnet Nick?

Send them up to me instead of making this 911/12/28/44/86/64/93/96 mongrel![;)]

bet if we all took our bits from our garages we could build a car at Eynsham!

Who would supply the chassis, since you wouldn' t want a replica.[;)]
Also which register would it go on?

Stuart, the chassis comes from the EBay car, which has now met reserve at £4650

Chris, what do you want SWB panels for?

I cant believe you lot are being so rough about my little baby 912!, yeah she has had a hard life and has reached the stage where a restoration is necessary but she has 12 months MOT and went to Le Mans last year!

Now, I am not asking the world for her, the price is negotiable, she has a wierd thermometer thing as the left hand dial and she is an original UK supplied RHD car, is yours? So stop being so cynical and come and make me an offer!

Check out over 50 photos of her at www.justinbanks.com

I thought we are all supposed to be nice to each other!

All the best!

Welcome to the forum, everything we say on here is in the best possible taste [:D]

All we are doing is giving the prospective buyer a list of parts available to make the restoration much easier. BTW I see that the bidding price has dropped back a few £hundred, what happened there?

I know, dont worry, there was nothing too bad written![:D]

I had to have words with the high bidder, ebay is great but there are loads of 8 year old girls in Arizona bidding for my cars so a harsh email regarding the perils of buying a rusty car without viewing it soon sorts out the buyers from the dreamers!

These low-mid £4000 bids are from genuine people who have viewed the car and I think it is worth every penny.

If you look at my car from a purely financial viewpoint the car is worth about £50, because the cost of restoration will always outweigh the end price. But does that mean that I should sell my car for £50? If I did, i would imagine that every single 912 register member would want it. It is a very rusty car but has lots of original features and for someone who only has £4,500 ish it is a great project they can enjoy driving at the same time as restoring. I also think there are many cars out there in the same condition as mine but with £500 worth of filler selling for loads more.

Anyway, there you go!

I am a dealer selling the car but I am also a club member who cant resist buying every 912 I see![:D]
