Anything less than about £12,000 will be a car in need of some work. To give you an idea, I paid £5,000 for a US import 7 years ago that was in need of complete restoration.
Try and obtain as many photographs as possible from every corner of the car in order to fully understand its condition before deciding on its value TO YOU. Always bear in mind that any work required will cost you dearly. Porsche parts are not cheap compared with other marques and there are limited suppliers in the UK for early parts.
Typical rust areas are wheel arches, spare wheel well, sills, and bottom of doors. But assuming the climate in S. Africa is drier, rust may not be too much of a concern. But a word of advice: never assume anything with a 37 year old car!

Always worth considering getting the car inspected (see below). I'd generally expect a SA car to have less rust than a euro car, but I am being very general. Agree with Lord luvitt about price . . . impossible to nail down. The 2lt T has the lowest bhp (110) of all 911's which is something to be proud of . . . performance will be great mind you. The earlier cars are sort after by the race and rally boys (which adds to their value a little I believe). . but think yours is a little too late (perhaps someone could confirm).

I would put the value in the £12K (dealer retail) range, but that is so dependent on the body and trim condition. These cars cost as much to fix as a 73S, particularly interior trim, as the 68 had a unique door trim.
