Hi All,

Problems with my gear change, stick rotating. So have dismantled to find pin in bracket ball housing that should prevent rotating has sheared off. Also front side of ball housing is very worn with metal breaking up.

The bracket does not seem to be available any more.

Does anyone know of a source new or secondhand.

Part is no 1 in attached diagram.

Many thanks to you both. I would have posted photo but have already given bracket to engineer friend who I am hoping may be able to "fix".

I would still be very interested in a serviceable bracket that either of you might have. You can contact me via my email address gduplock@aol.com or mobile 07828141380 please.

Look forward to hearing from either of you.

I am replacing the Ball Socket (bush cap), friction ring and coupling which are all worn.

I may need to replace Sportomatic contact set which I have had to re-glue both copper strips in as they had come loose and regap. Will see how my repair works.

Happy New Year
