1969 2.4 Rally spec 911 for sale

A guy called Peter Ratcliffe bought this at the Historic Motorsport auction the other month (I mentioned it in another thread). He now wants to sell it (because of other financial commitments). . . I give him my card at the event, he called me and I said I'd try and help him . . . hence my post here. I had a poke around the car and it didn't 'look' too bad (didn't hear it running or see it moving). He's after something like £18K for it.

His contact details are peter.ratcliffe@legendsintime.co.uk and 07715174444. He doesn't know whether the engine is T, E or S ('bought it on a whim' so knowledge isn't great). Don't contact me, as I'm just passing the details on. Chassis number relates to a 1969 E in case you were wondering.

It's done a lot of interesting events by all accounts.

That is one very impressive (and busy) cockpit layout...almost like the venerable Vulcan. Unfortunately my pension does not cover the price asked for. Pity.

Regarding my last post, would some IT geek please explain to me why my description of the dashboard of th 911 as 'the cockpit of a Vulcan' appears with the word 'cockpit' spelt with four asterisks followed by the word 'pit'?
