1969 911e value

l have come to the owners forum with the hope of getting some advise. l have purchased a LHD 1969 911e that requires a full restoration. The 911 is a complete car and has not been used since 1990 and it looks to be a time capsule car and its still is as the day it was parked and locked up, it still has the original unused tool kit. The interior is good but the exterior has some rust and the floors need replacing. It has a full history with service book and owners manuals and was purchased new by an American serviceman while stationed in Germany and Vietnam. l am unsure what to do with her so l am trying to get a guide on the value of the 911e once restored or alternatively what is the market value as it is unrestored.

Thanks

The value of the early cars has gone up a lot in the last few years but from what you have said it needs a complete rebuild and the cost may come to a large part of the value when restored, It depends what you want, you would get quite a good price as it is but if you would like to keep it and drive it they are greet fun. Best to get someone who knows the early cars to have a look at it, as they will know what to look for. Happy to look if you are in my part of the country. Berny.

911E values in restored condition currently range from about £85,000 upwards, for right hand drive cars.
Usually LHD are worth a little less, as there are more about.

If you explore the internet you will find cars advertised, which will give you a better idea of how your compares. Here are some links to recent ads:

Of course it's hard to know what price a car is actually sold for, unless a 911E comes up in auction where the price achieved is usually published afterwards (remember to add the buyers premium to the published price to get the actual cost that the new owner paid). Values still seem to be rising; who knows what 2015 will bring.

I would say that £85K is at the top end of values for a restored LHD 1969 2 litre 911E, unless the car is of special interest, colour or specification. Costs to restore would vary from £50K - £100K depending on the condition of what you have, and the quality of the restoration. A few pictures would help.

Thanks guys for you speedy reply's, l find, import and restore early Mustang fastbacks so this 911 is out of my comfort zone at the moment. l have no problem with the sheet metal and interior but it's the mechanics that l am sure will require a specialist. But looking at these figures this is a very viable restoration plus you just can't let these great old cars die. l will post some pictures once all the grim is off the white paintwork and keep you posted.
Thanks

Great, I love early Mustangs. Good luck with the restoration, you might find the DDK website of help:
