Hi everyone,

I'm now the proud owner of a 911t 1969 RHD.

I live in Glasgow and would be grateful for any recommendations with regards to mechanical and bodywork garages which I will in no doubt need in the future. Just want to keep car in the best condition that I can.

Much obliged

Margaret

Hi Margaret.
The main thing is get your car to a place that know this older model I know a distance away but no doubt the guys over on DDK will tell you Neil Bainbridge is the guru .Over in the west is George Morrison but get a detailed guaranteed price before they start as a lot on hear will have stories to tell you ,he certainly knows his stuff Also well known is Stuart of SP over in Stirling and Brian Miller in Edinburgh all Tipec recommends .
Do not discount the OPC the dealer principle has a similar car to yours and offer cheaper rates on older models and you get a discount on parts as a member.
As to bodywork Eastern Western have a good reputation and did the clubs 356 restoration run by Peter O Mally and has a open day for members a couple of times a year to pamper your car waxing and cleaning etc .Hope this helps in some way and look forward to seeing you and the car at some of the clubs events in the better weather .

+1 for George Morrison
Tremendous knowledge on older Porsche models.

Hi Margaret,

Congratulations on the new car, Hope to see you at some of the club events in the near future.

There are quite a few local independants that will all look after your car as well as PCGB Glasgow and Edinburgh, George Morrison - Glasgow, Brian Miller Edinburgh, Motortune - Shotts and both OPC Glasgow and OPC Edinburgh. All have pros and cons and all will be quite capable of general maintenance on your car. Just ensure you negotiate a price for the work. If you want the car looking over I should be able to get the car checked over by OPC for free.

Regards
Scott. RO Region 1

Hi Scott

Really would appreciate the car being checked over at Porsche. Even better if a freebie!!!

Can you advise please.

Cheers

Margaret
