I have been searcing for an early 911/912 for some time now. The problem I've got is that my budget is around £15,000.

In the past I have owned 996, Boxster, 993 and 930 (the cars get older as I get older!). Unfortunately, due to junior (now 18 months) my budget has shrunk along with what the car will be used for. It was my daily drive - 930 excluded, but the car will now by a second car. I know I want an early car but it has to be the best I can get for my budget. Does this restrict me to the 'T'?

I would rather spend £15,000 for someting good than £10,000 for a car which needs work. This post is because I have seen a car I like the look of but would like some opinions on it before proceeding further. Also does anybody know of any good cars for sale at the moment in this price bracket?

A quick look at the pic and there's something's not right . . . . those front indicators are very 'different' . . saying that, it does look pretty funky.

had a nose around this car at the NEC Classic car show.

it could be saved with a bit of money thrown at it. quality of the work thats been done on it isn't brilliant
BUT it could be a fun budget car if your not too worried about authentisity.

heresthe DDK thread discussing this car when it was for sale on ebay... http://www.ddk-online.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=17409

Yep sorry for negative comments but if asked we will look and offer advice based totaly on what we have come across over almost 10 years of doing and looking at these cars.

It is just that alot of cars now are becoming attractive to sell after a few weekends worth of work, hence some of the RS plastic creations of the 80's that were just so bad !! and give a number of us a laugh, but the sad thing is some one would have parted with good money to do it.

I too saw that car at the show and thought it poor for the 15K.
For £15K a pre impact should have the right details for the given model and a finish of construction that is reasonable. Missing plastic filler beads on the front wings cost nothing but they were missing, what else is?(that you can't see).
