This car offer value for money do you think? advertised as investment potential. Whats the downside with this car re year of manufacture, spec, is it collectable, does it qualify as pre 74 build?? Feedback and advice wud be greatfully recieved. Many tks as i really like the look of the car and having attended Hedingham Castle last year i looked at a few of these but this looks really good

If that car is as described and looks as per the photos that is one very nice car. Probably won't see another like that for sale for a long time. Not considered a pre 74 car due to the impact bumpers but many parts carried over from 73 and mechanically very similar. The 74 cars are the nearest the impact bumper cars came to the pre impact bumper cars. These early impact bumper cars have become much more sought after and collectable over the last couple of years and will continue to in future IMO.

As for future investment potential who knows but looks a very nice car for the price. In fact I seem to remember 1974 2.7S Coupes being for sale recently for substantially more money.

Only concern would be how long it has been in storage and the effect on engine and mechanical parts.

tks, i like the look of it but just wondered what bracvket it falls in with regards being collectable. i cant find another one to measure how it compares for value for money. mileage is almost unvelievable

Personally i think it 'looks' a nice car but is top of the price bracket.

Bert Roex had an unbelievable coupe for sale recently that had had a ground up resto by an aston martin/jag concourse restorer and over 850hrs into it for £22k. Yes it was lhd but it was the more desireable coupe and it was absolutely brand spanking new.

Targa is always going to be worth less in my opinion, colour is a matter of choice but if it passes a full inspection and there is NO rust which would be a wow on its own being that age and from Jersey) then its a pretty car...don't worry about values just enjoy them!
