1976 Carrera 3 Targa Sport location

Was looking through my photo's of past cars and found the picture of my first 911.
Just wondering if the car is still registered on the club and how it is doing.

1976 Carrera 3 Targa Sport in Ice Metallic Green with black leather interior believe the reg ended in VKJ

The C3 doesnt really belong in the SC forum but I'll send a pm to Guy White, the R/S on the Carrera 2.7 and Carrera 3, so he can pick it up. There is no ice green metallic '76 targa registered with the worldwide C3 register www.911Carrera3.co.uk but perhaps Guy could retrace some further info or even the VIN to see whether it has been repainted? If it was a viper green metallic one then I witnessed it being broken at Lodgesports, Manchester in 2002

Bert, Luckily enough that is not the car. Would be nice to now if its still about. I bought the car in 1992 from Carrs of Exeter (OPC) and then sold it in 1994 to Shirleys of Meriden prior to moving overseas. Cheers TIM
 
Hi Tim/Bert, Thanks for passing this on to me Bert, I have the car on the register but still listed with Tim as the owner so no subsequent owner has registered it with the club. I did however do a search on the DVLA website and it is still road taxed having been renewed last month. I could give a mention of the car in Porsche Post next month and see if the owner reads it, seams members change their car but don't update the club. (Or if a member reads this and knows the owner of 842 VKJ ?) I have a couple of photos or your car here with the register, one taken at Donington in 1993 it says on the back (I was there as well!) Guy
 
Hello Guy, Well that is great news. I am glad to hear it is still on the road. I remember that day at Donnington, cleaned the car for the street concours and it threw it down with rain on the drive from Solihull. A great day out though. It is one car i wish i kept. Well appears it has been found. Sold at the Silverstone car auction last month. Congratulations to the new owner.
