Hi Everyone,
does anyone know of a reliable place to get a complete wiring loom, I am planning to replace all of the old girls wiring. Thanks.

If you can get one, you would have to order it from Porsche. It will be a pig to fit unless the car is already stripped. The place that a failure will most likely occur will be anywhere that there is a lot of heat i.e. in the engine bay or cables associated with lighting. Maybe consider replacing a part of the loom, if it is working and not visibly or providing poor performance on a meter, leave it alone.

Hi,
thank you for the advice, there is some tired looking wiring in the engine bay (especially the insulation). Do you by any chance know where I could get a bullet type fuse box (for the front ?) ours is held together with elastic bands. Have tried and so far not been able to source one.
Thanks
Alan

It's funny I'm answering your post as my 'nick' on French forums is 'Neuvy' from where I now live. Anyway, you can buy the parts you need from Porsche but you may be able to make something up with parts from an auto-electrical supplier like

Personally I'd go for the original stuff. There is a large black connector in the engine bay which the engine loom is connected to , it's on the left near the left rear light cluster, this is an example of a part which is still available, when you say that your fusebox is held together with elastic bands, do you mean that the black plastic cover has lost it's fixing tabs and it won't stay on? If so that may well be a part you have to source from a breaker.
