Talking to a chap today at a local classic car meet who has a 1989 SSE Targa (amongst other cars) He says it had 12 owners in 9 months shortly after purchase.
Out of interest, he contacted the original dealer to try and explain this and was told that the car was being bought and sold by owners (some who never saw it) as a speculative traded investment.
No reason to disbelieve him, but not heard of this before - wondered if any of you have heard of this happening in the late eighties.
Suppose the 3.2's were coming to the end of production in 1989 so might be feasible.
