Hi All,

Just noticed an engine component that's operated by a control cable, any ideas what it is:

If you really don't know, 'aircooled' this is the control valve for the heater, and there appears to be something wrong with the way the cable feeds in because on mine it comes in from the other side. I know, because I have just replaced the one on my 931, and many years ago did the one on my 924 but that was the later type, as shown in the photo, which could feed from the right. I can't remeber it was nearly 14 years ago. There are two types, one with a plastic arm, and one with a metal arm. The later, plastic arm type is no longer available from Porsche.

Also there is a jubilee clip missing from the auxilialry air valve pipe where it enters the plenum chamber

I am guessing your heater doesnt work very well becasue the outer cable doesn't seem to be anchored to anything [sm=spanner5.gif]
