I'm looking for the front struts for my car.
I've been told that it's possible to fit new inserts but having stripped down, with difficulty, the o/s strut it doesn't look to be suitable to take an insert ??
The part no. on the removed strut reads 951 343 032 02 Koni adjustable.
Any advice would be helpful. ( location Cambs )

According to PET that part number is for a 1987 onwards M030 Koni height adjustable shock.

They are actually rebuildable by a Koni agent. I had mine done by http://www.sportslinesuspension.com/ in Buckingham on 01280 822 768 and it cost £100 a strut about 5 years ago.

The inserts are for non adjustable shocks and won't fit your M030 version

I had S2 struts labelled KN2 951 34....which the Koni sports inserts fitted into no problem. Just take out all the old gubbins and get sprayed by pressurised oil, drill a hole in the dead centre of the bottom of the strut, screw in the insert and locate with the bolt through the base.
