1986 turbo front pads the same pads as a 964 C2??

I ordered some front discs and pads from design 911 last night and have a conformation email stating as much.

I received an email today conforming that they have despatched me the discs and pads and show the part numbers etc. The discs have a 951 part number(951351041 BRAKE DISC FRONT 944 ( 1986 TURBO)
 but the pads have a 964 c2 part number and listing??!!( 964351939 BRAKE PADS FRONT 964 C/2 07/91-)
 Are the pads the same for the 1986 951 and 964 C2? Or have they sent sent me the wrong pads?

I got the discs and pads today to find only 3 pads in the box!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How the hell does anybody not realise that they are only sending 3 pads and not 4?? Im finding it very difficult to get through to them on the phone. When i finally did get through i was put on hold for 5 mins only to be told no one could deal with me at the mo and that they would phone me back. That was an hour ago and still no call!![:mad:]

Im never going to use design 911 again as long as i live[:mad:]

Finally got through to some one who could actually string a sentence together. They are sending me a pad out tomorrow.

I still can't believe someone would tape a box of pads up not realising there was only three pads inside. Im now wondering what else is missing. Are you supposed to get new pins with the pads?

Oh and they are the same pads as the 964.
 
I'd always suggest Bert, there are so many possible variations with models and parts that using someone who knows the cars inside out can't be a bad thing. He also knows when to send you to an OPC rather than simply marking up a part that is only available from them. He will advise on exactly what you need as well, rather than leaving you needing one extra little bit halfway through a job. Why go anywhere else?


 
What really annoys me(apart from the missing pad) was the state of the packaging. It was the worst bit of parcel wrapping i have ever come across. The discs were just thrown together with no protection between them at all so they are all scratched, the pads were just thrown in on top and the box they were all put in had minimal packaging tape around it and most had torn away. [:mad:]

Not happy. They will certainly never see the colour of my money again thats for sure.
